First children participation activity on INSPIRE: seven strategies for ending violence against children was held in Yunnan


On December 15, 2018 – first children participation activity on INSPIRE: seven strategies for ending violence against children was held in Wuding County, Yunnan Province. World Vision China’s five year campaign on Ending Domestic Violence Against Children is based on the WHO-led INSPIRE: Seven strategies for ending violence against children. From ensuring the enforcement of child-focused laws, to promoting positive parent-child relationship and providing soci-economic assistance, INSPIRE strategies are based on the best available evidence and represent proven effective approach to ending violence.


Guangxi Charity System Visited World Vision Project Sites in Shaanxi Province and Attended 2018 Guangxi Project Exchange Meeting


World Vision and Mr. Liang Yeyong, the Secretary General of Guangxi Charity Federation, led a group of twenty-four people to visit World Vision project sites in Yangxian County, Shaanxi Province from 27th to 28th November 2018, with focus on the work of “children centers”. After the visit, the group attended 2018 Guangxi Project Exchange Meeting on the morning of 29th November.

It Takes a World to End Violence Against Children Global Campaign Launched in China


November 20 is the United Nations World Children's Day, which is set up to enhance the cohesion of children around the world, raise awareness of children's rights and improve children's welfare. In China, World Vision focuses on ending domestic violence against children, with the goal that girls and boys in China are protected from Domestic Violence and thrive in a positive and caring environment.                                                                            

World Vision Participated in the Eighth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR)


The eighth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) opened on the afternoon of July 3 ,2018  in the National Palace of Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. World Vision has 15 people from 6 countries to participate in more than 20 conference sessions, and each country has shared experience in disaster prevention and mitigation in the local area. World Vision China participated in the meeting with representatives of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.

“Anti-Domestic Violence Case Management Capacity Building and Multi-Sector Cooperation Experience Promotion” Training Held Successfully

June 28-29, 2018, the Anti-domestic Violence Case Management Capacity Building and Multi-Sector Cooperation Experience Promotion Training (hereinafter referred to as “anti-domestic violence training”) was successfully held in Shenzhen. Hosted by the National Alliance of Psychological Aid of the Institute of Psychology, CAS and the Psychological Crisis Intervention Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society, the training was organized by Shenzhen Pengxing Anti-Domestic Violence Center in cooperation with ShenZhen Non-Governmental Organization Federation and sponsored by World Vision.

World Vision Passes the Positive Energy of the Campus



From June 1st to 2nd, 2018, World Vision and Parc Central, Guangzhou launched a special charity carnival event to forward the concept of “embracing love & promoting a harmonious campus together”, which calls on the whole society to pay attention to the violence on children, strengthen the child protection and say "no" to school violence with warmth and love.

In April 11, 2018, Mr. Wang Zhenyao, President of the Chinese Public Welfare Research Institute of Beijing Normal University and Mr. Victor Kan, the National Director of World Vision China signed the overall framework agreement of the "Walk Alone Children with One Heart" project in Beijing. The two sides will jointly build a network of children's service in the next three years and carry out the delivery and related research on children's welfare and protection services. And also promote the construction of child welfare and protection service system in grass-roots community.

World Vision International President & CEO Kevin Jenkins Attends 2nd World Philanthropy Forum in Beijing


The 2nd World Philanthropy Forum jointly hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Tsinghua University was held in Beijing on November 29 and 30, 2017. World Vision International President & CEO Mr. Kevin Jenkins, World Vision International East Asia Regional Leader Mr. Norbert Hsu and National Director of World Vision China Mr. Victor Kan were invited to attend and speak at the High Level Dialogues and Parallel Forum.
