The Suide Child-focused Area Development Programme Was Signed.

 

On July 16, the signing and opening ceremony of the Child-focused Area Development Programme of the World Vision China Foundation Limited (Hong Kong ) Shaanxi Representative Office was successfully held in Suide County Government.

At the signing ceremony, the National Director of World Vision China, Deng Renqiang, and the Deputy County Magistrate of Suide County People's Government, Wang Mingsheng, signed a cooperation agreement, which promised to invest at least 20 million CNY in Suide County during the period of the programme implementation.
 

World Vision China Continues to Conduct Rapid Needs Assessment in 5 Counties, 2 Provinces

 

World Vision China will be focusing on providing relief assistance in the severely affected areas of Jiangxi and Hunan. Recently, the first batch of relief supplies are going to arrive in Shicheng County, Jiangxi Province. It is expected to benefit 9,175 flood affected people.

In the meantime, World Vision China is working on a second relief plan, hoping help more survivors in Jiangxi and Hunan.

Ms. Xie was more worried about her son. Her 11-year-old son, Xiaoyong, a fourth grader, was sent to school by someone in the community with some other students. When the river rose later, Xiaoyong and some others were blocked by the water at the bridgehead. Fortunately, her son and neighbors returned safely after the river receded a little.

WV China Sends Assessment Team to the Most Severely Flooded AP in Southern China

 

On 13 June, a three-member team has been sent to the most severely flooded areas of Fengshan Township and Pingshan Town, Shicheng County, Jiangxi Province, to conduct rapid needs assessment. 

According to initial assessment, in Jiangxi, as of 11 June 2019, 6 deaths and 1 missing have been reported. More than 2 million residents have been affected, over 150,000 residents have sought refuge in emergency resettlement and 81,000 residents are in need of emergency relief.

The Anti-Domestic Voilence Capacity Building Training Held Successfully in Xi'An City

 

On April 13-14, more than 30 persons from 16 social organizations in Xi'an participated in the Anti-Domestic Violence Capacity Building Training sponsored by World Vision. The training has enhanced the sensitivity and service skills of social organization staff in anti-domestic violence to a certain extent, which would be helpful for building a “Zero Tolerance to Violence” community supporting environment, and pushing the anti-domestic violence work in Shaanxi Province a big step forward.

It Takes a World to End Violence Against Children Global Campaign Launched in China

 

 

November 20 is the United Nations World Children's Day, which is set up to enhance the cohesion of children around the world, raise awareness of children's rights and improve children's welfare. In China, World Vision focuses on ending domestic violence against children, with the goal that girls and boys in China are protected from Domestic Violence and thrive in a positive and caring environment.
