Child injury prevention project
To enable community children to acquire proper care and protection, World Vision have carried out educational activities on traffic safety and falls injury prevention in programme villages and schools in recent years with an expectation that the implementation of the programme could protect more children from fatal injuries caused by traffic accidents and falls while playing. The village committees, parents, school teachers and students who have participated in programme activities, all of them can understand the safety knowledge and have a good awareness on the injury risks and consequences, some village committees and schools have made maintenance or installed guard rails in places with safety risks, schools remind children of traffic safety every day when the school is off, and both community and children have enhanced their awareness on traffic and falls injuries. World Vision will continue to organize educational activities on traffic safety and falls injury prevention in programme villages.
